BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The terms and conditions set out below apply to all bookings made through this website for any of our hotels. This includes Casa Oro Eco Hostel, Casa Andalucia, Nuestra Casa, Hotel Pacifico, Casa Ruth, Oro Chocolate, and any of the other properties owned or managed by the Casa Oro Group.
All prices shown online are per room per night (unless otherwise stated). Prices shown are inclusive of Taxes at the current prevailing rate and local tourism levies, if applicable. Prices do not include applicable processing fees for payments realized through third party processors.
Prices are subject to change without notice. However, your price is guaranteed once you receive a booking confirmation. For the avoidance of doubt, prices do not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, for example, in house massages, tours, activities, etc). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with us that you irrevocably authorize us to debit your credit or debit card (see ‘Deposits and Pre-payments’ below) for the amount of any shortfall.
The prices shown online are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and, until you have received your confirmation number.
Availability of rooms at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods. Note special rates and tariffs apply during holiday seasons like New Years and during Semana Santa.
Children under the age of 5 can stay free of charge, when sharing a room with two paying adults, where a suitable room is available. Children from the ages of 5 to 16 will be charged a supplement per child per night for bed & breakfast. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. We will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer.
There is public street-parking available at no additional cost, space permitting. It is not possible to reserve a parking space. Parking is at the owner of the vehicle’s own account and risk. We are not liable for vandalism or theft of or from parked vehicles. You are responsible for parking your vehicle in a safe way, unobtrusive of the normal flow of traffic on the public road.
Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis between 8am and 3pm, upon request by guest. In an effort to reduce our impact on the environment, we will only clean your room upon request. If it is not possible to clean the room due to luggage or other objects belonging to the guest, we are entitled to refrain from cleaning the room on the day in question. Towels are changed as needed, please ask.
SMOKING AND OTHER PROVISIONS
All of our properties are no-smoking, and smoking is therefore prohibited in rooms and all other indoor areas. Failure to comply with the rules regarding smoking may result in a fine of $250 USD for each violation. Young people under 18 cannot stay at the hotel without being accompanied by a legally responsible adult. It is not allowed to bring animals at the hotel. Hotel guests cannot bring any outside guests into the property, unless they have express permission from hotel management.
USE OF EMAIL ADDRESSES
We are entitled to use the email address used to make the booking to issue e-newsletters and promotional material. We will only promote our own products that are actually relevant to the customers, no spam. The customer may at any time request to be removed from the mailing list and to no longer receive newsletters and promotional material by email. Simply click the link found at the bottom of all newsletters and you will be automatically unsubscribed.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Hotel rooms are available from 2pm onwards on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel manager.
As a hotel and an organization, we strive for the regeneration of our ecologies. As such, it is strictly forbidden to generate unnecessary waste that will end up in a landfill during your stay. There shall be no ill talk about Mother Nature, nor any of her children. Any failure to respect the environment and/or local community is subject to fines exceeding $10,000,000 USD. Reducing, Reusing and Recycling along with utmost respect must be practiced at all times.
EXPERIENCES & ACTIVITIES
We offer a variety of experiences, activities and tours. We fulfill these activities in collaboration with the local community and various vendors and tour operators. We take no responsibility or liability for the specific outcomes of said activities. Your participation is subject to any particular terms and conditions applying at the fulfillment agency of a specific activity. Age restrictions may apply to certain facilities and details of these are available from your chosen activity.
LOST AND FOUND
Items that have been forgotten or left behind in the room or at the hotel will be kept for a maximum of three weeks after departure. It is possible to have objects forwarded to you for a shipping and handling fee (currently USD50) plus any postage or transport costs. Items will only be forwarded against prepayment of the fee plus postage. For large, oversize or heavy items, there will be an additional handling fee.
DEPOSITS AND PRE-PAYMENTS
All bookings on this website require a pre-payment or deposit which must be paid in advance, at the time of booking. Additionally, pre-payments and full payment are required for all of the rates featured through third party booking channels. You will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid credit or debit card. Payment for the first night will be applied within a few days of booking confirmation. Final payment of outstanding balance will be taken at check out or in the event of cancellation otherwise than in accordance with our cancellation terms. See ‘Cancellations and Amendments’ below for details on cancellations.
Payment must be made online via Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Other credit cards are not accepted. There is a 5% processing fee for credit card transactions.
BALANCE OF MONIES OUTSTANDING
On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid debit or credit card for the hotel to take authorization. If you are settling your account in cash, you will be asked for a deposit. We accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We do not accept checks of any kind. There is a 5% processing fee for credit card transactions.
CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
All cancellations must be made in accordance with our cancellation terms.
Cancellations must reach the hotel by 12pm, local time, 30 days prior to arrival, at the latest. If you cancel within the acceptable time frame, you will be entitled to a full refund, less any applicable processing fees.
Where a cancellation is not made in accordance with our cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you for the entire value of your reservation, plus any applicable taxes and fees.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfill any particular special requests, which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we, unfortunately, cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all particular requests, which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. In this unlikely event, you have the right to:
- Accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
- Make alternative arrangements with us; or
- Cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies, which you have paid to us in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).
For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any online booking.
If you have booked our hotel through a third party booking site like booking.com, expedia.com or AirBnb, then the specific cancellation/refund policies for each of those booking engines will take precedence over the cancellation policy outlined on this website.
COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS
We take our guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at one of our hotels should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager or staff member at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve it immediately. Problems, which cannot be resolved there and then, should be notified in writing to Managing Director.
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time.
Subject to the paragraph immediately below, we shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage in circumstances where:
- There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by us or by our employees or agents;
- Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach;
- Any increase in loss or damage resulting from breach by you of any term of our contract;
Our Hotel, both for itself and on the behalf of their employees or agents do not accept any responsibility for any act, omission, default or neglect of themselves, their employees or agents for injury, damage, or loss to persons or goods whatsoever or however the same may be caused and they do not warrant and are in no way responsible for the accuracy of any information given in statement made by their service providers in terms of travel arrangements. By utilizing the travel services provided by The Hotel, you agree that:
THE HOTEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE WILFUL OR NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS OF SUCH CARRIERS AND/OR SERVICE PROVIDERS. THE HOTEL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT, INJURY, DELAY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL LOSS TO YOU OR THOSE TRAVELLING WITH YOU IN CONNECTION WITH ANY ACCOMMODATION, TRANSPORTATION, OR OTHER TRAVEL SERVICES RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM ANY OCCURRENCES OR CONDITIONS BEYOND ITS CONTROL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACTS OF TERRORISM, ACT OF GOD, DEFECTS IN VEHICLES, WAR, STRIKES, THEFT, DELAY, CANCELLATION, CIVIL DISORDER, DISASTER, FIRE, HURRICANES, GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS OR CHANGES IN ITINERARY OR SCHEDULE.
Please note that all travel documents, observance of laws and regulations of various Governments are your responsibility.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Nicaragua law and the Nicaragua courts shall have jurisdiction over any matter arising out of or in connection with them.
