How We Got Started

Hi, I’m Muffadal. I’m the founder of the Casa Oro Group. I’m an American born Pakistani from the suburbs of Chicago who was on a path of checking all the boxes I was ‘supposed’ to. I left my job as a financial consultant in search of a deeper fulfillment. Via a meandering path, I found myself working around the world volunteering on sustainability projects at the intersection of nature, business, and community.

I learned that tourism growth and development often leave destructive side effects for cultures, communities and the environment. It doesn’t have to be like this though. At the Casa Oro Group, we find inspiration in how nature works and use this as our compass for holistic creation. In everything we do, our aim is to leave places, people, and economies better than we found them.

So far, it’s working.

My family and I have joined forces in pursuit of regeneration. I am grateful for all that we have learned along this path so far and for what’s to come.

Vision

Mision

Regenerate.

Leave places, people, and economies better than we found them.

A family of social businesses dedicated to service, hospitality, experiences, and organic food. We use business as a tool to regenerate human and environmental abundance.

Values

Courage

Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc. in the face of fear; bravery. It’s not about being fearless, its more about noticing fear, putting fear in its place and moving forward.

Quality

Quality is about facilitating memorable and authentic experiences in a consistent manner, holding ourselves to the highest standards.

Collaboration

Collaboration occurs when two or more people or organizations work together to realize or achieve a goal. Teams that work collaboratively can obtain greater resources, recognition and reward when facing competition for finite resources.

Compassion

Compassion is a combination of love, caring, empathy, understanding and a will to help. Compassion is unconditional, it seeks no reward. Compassion is about seeing the humanity in others and celebrating our shared humanness.

A letter for you:

We’re a special breed of travelers, you and I.

Distinctly non- tourist. We’re conscious. We live for immersive experiences. We love swashbuckling adventures and tranquilo retreats. We believe in nature. We see art as belonging in our everyday lives. We understand that most questions can and must be answered with love. We used to anguish about the state of world affairs until we started creating our own.

We wonder: what if there was a place that grew organic food, built structures from recycled and natural materials and had activities that connected with local communities? A place serving travelers, not tourists. What if we created an entire ecosystem aimed at regenerating our planet? Regenerating not only Mother Nature, but communities, economies and, most importantly, the human spirit.

The Casa Oro Group was born from our desire to build a whole new world.

The real magic lies within our people. We’re a mix of dreamers and doers, locals and foreigners, solo explorers and big families stretching from India to Australia to the Americas—a diverse group who believes anything is possible in hot pursuit of regeneration. These people got soul.  Working together, we’re a team of curious stewards ensuring that our business ecosystem flows and grows as we invent our future.

We’re curious about the story of your life and what wonderful synchronicity brought you to this place. Share it.

Thanks for giving us a chance to create this. We’re grateful you’re here.

Everything is carefully hand crated by a courageous team.
