How We Got Started
Hi, I’m Muffadal. I’m the founder of the Casa Oro Group. I’m an American born Pakistani from the suburbs of Chicago who was on a path of checking all the boxes I was ‘supposed’ to. I left my job as a financial consultant in search of a deeper fulfillment. Via a meandering path, I found myself working around the world volunteering on sustainability projects at the intersection of nature, business, and community.
I learned that tourism growth and development often leave destructive side effects for cultures, communities and the environment. It doesn’t have to be like this though. At the Casa Oro Group, we find inspiration in how nature works and use this as our compass for holistic creation. In everything we do, our aim is to leave places, people, and economies better than we found them.
So far, it’s working.
My family and I have joined forces in pursuit of regeneration. I am grateful for all that we have learned along this path so far and for what’s to come.
